About us

As a recognized non-profit in the United States, our mission centers on safeguarding and caring for cows in the sacred city of Sri Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh, India. Through our go-seva initiatives, we uphold Vedic cultural principles by providing nutritious food, spacious land, comfortable shelter, healthcare services, and overall holistic care to these sacred cows . Our committed team of Go Sevaks at Sri Haridas Niwas ensures continuous attention to the cows’ nutrition and hygiene, in line with Vedic values. All donations received are dedicated solely to the service of Haridas Shastri Maharaj ji’s beloved cows, empowering us to promote their dignity and significance in alignment with Vedic teachings.

What we do for Cows ?

Acquisition of Land for Constructing Go-Shalas

Diligently seeking and securing fitting land, we aim to construct more go-shalas, expanding our mission to provide sanctuary and care for cows, fostering compassion and sustainable coexistence.

Pay for Staff

Regular upkeep and maintenance of the cow shelters to provide a safe and clean environment for our cows. Supplying nutritious and sufficient food to ensure the well-being of our cows.

Maintenance of Cow Shelters

Ensuring the well-being of our cherished cows involves consistent upkeep and maintenance of shelters, creating a safe and clean haven. Our commitment extends to the regular supply of nutritious and ample food, a vital aspect in guaranteeing their health and happiness.

Dr. Ajaykumar Jani

President

Dr. Ajaykumar Jani, a dedicated American Board-Certified Pediatrician currently working in Lubbock Texas boasts an impressive academic journey, culminating in an MBA in Healthcare from American Intercontinental University, GA, with a stellar GPA of 4.0 in 2007. Board-certified in Internal Medicine from Gujarat University, India, he earned his Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery in 1986. Dr. Jani’s vast experience spans various prestigious institutions, including the US Army’s Department of Defense and Covenant Medical Group Urgent Care Clinic. He is a Certified Physician Executive. Dr. Jani’s expertise extends to languages and philanthropy. He took shelter of Shri Haridas Shastri based at Kalidah Vrindavan in 1993 and serving under his tutelage mainly for protecting Ashram’s beautiful cows.  He and his wife Bhakti Devi are currently based in Lubbock Texas.

Petra Muller-Jani

Director

Petra Muller-Jani is a highly skilled Licensed Massage Therapist in Texas. She graduated from Physical Therapy school in 1987 from Berlin, Germany. Mrs. Jani is also a prolific author, having authored seven books on Ayurvedic Medicine. Fluent in both English and German, Petra’s dedication extends beyond therapy to active involvement in humanitarian projects and cow protection efforts in India. Mrs. Jani’s expertise and commitment to holistic wellness have defined her impactful career. She dedicated herself to the path of devotional service after meeting Sri Haridas Shastri Maharaj. As a service to him, she is dedicated to serving the cows living at Sri Haridas Niwas. She lives with her husband Dr Ajaykumar Jani in Lubbock Texas.

Jyoti Chittur

Vice President

Jyoti Chittur, born into a family deeply rooted in the Vaishnava tradition, received initiation into the Sampradaya at an early age. Under her grandfather’s tutelage, a Vedic scholar, she mastered Sanskrit and Chanting. Guided by her father, an educator, she learned Yoga in its holistic essence, incorporating the physical, spiritual, and elemental dimensions. Nurtured by her devout mother, Jyoti imbibed the principles of Bhakti and Seva. Following the teachings of Sree Tirumala Krishnamacharya, she now imparts her knowledge of Sanskrit and Yoga, embodying a rich heritage that seamlessly weaves tradition, spirituality, and the ancient art of Yogic practice.

Veljo Mrdakovic

Veljo Mrdakovic, an accomplished IT professional from Belgrade, Serbia, boasts over 20 years of experience. His journey began during challenging times in Serbia, leading him to serve with the United Nations in Kosovo for 6 years. With notable roles at Nutanix, P3 Group, Dizzion, Generali, and UNIQA Insurance groups, Veljo’s expertise spans cloud technologies, software development, and infrastructure. Beyond his career, he’s deeply engaged in philosophy and bhakti-related practices, as a disciple of Sri Satyanarayana Dasa Babaji at the Jiva Institute of Vedic Studies.

Bimal Pati

Bimal Kumar Pati, a seasoned IT professional based in Baltimore, Maryland, possesses a robust skill set encompassing computer systems and applications. His expertise spans various operating systems, networking, and software. With a distinguished career at Constellation Energy and Exelon Corporation, Bimal excels in team leadership, vendor license negotiations, and the management of intricate IT projects. Known for facilitating smooth transitions, achieving cost savings, and providing effective team leadership, Bimal’s career reflects a steadfast commitment to excellence in the ever-evolving field of information technology.

Dr. Satyanarayana Dasa

President

Dr. Satyanārāyaṇa Dāsa, born on June 9, 1954, stands as a distinguished Indian Gaudiya Vaisnava scholar and practitioner, showcasing remarkable versatility. Possessing a Ph.D. in Sanskrit from Agra University, Indian law degree, B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Delhi IIT, and an M. Tech in Industrial Engineering, Dr. Dāsa exemplifies polymathic brilliance. Currently, as the President of the Haridas Goshala in Vrindavan and founder of the Jiva Institute, he ardently upholds cow protection, a cause dear to his guru, Haridas Shastri. Emulating his guru’s mastery in Vedic disciplines, Dr. Satyanārāyaṇa Dāsa has left an indelible mark on Gaudiya Vaisnavism. Acknowledged in 2012 with an award from the President of India, he stands as a preeminent living practitioner-scholar of Jīva Gosvāmī’s literary works.

Sandeep Mittal

Sandeep Mittal, an Electrical Engineering graduate, served as an Executive Engineer at Delhi Vidut Board for 14 years until his voluntary resignation in 2003. In 1993, he received blessings and initiation from Shri Haridas Shastri Maharaj-ji, sparking his interest in Goseva. Inspired by his guru, Mittal founded a senior secondary school in Khurja in 2001, aligning with his passion for Goseva. In 2003, driven by devotion, he left his job to dedicate more time and resources to Goseva initiatives. Following Shri Gurudev’s guidance, Mittal established the Shri Haridas Shastri Goseva Sansthan in Vrindavan, where he serves as the Secretary, overseeing the care of Goseva, the temple, and Shri Gaur Gadadhar library under Shri Gurudev’s presidency.
